About Us
About Dyfi Rivers Trust
The beautiful River Dyfi travels some 30 miles from the hills near Dinas Mawddwy to the coastal community of Aberdyfi to where it joins Cardigan Bay, fed by 300 miles of tributary rivers and streams.
Our vision, as the Dyfi Rivers Trust, is of a thriving Catchment supporting abundant biodiversity and creating healthy ecosystems as well as economically-thriving local communities providing, through language, culture, activities and education, the sustainability and hope for the next generations.
We have a focus over the next decades on fund-raising to allow major freshwater conservation actions to save iconic river indicator species such as Atlantic salmon, whose health reflects the well-being of our river. We are also supporting actions to help the designated species of our estuary – the Greenland white-fronted goose which winters with us.
Residents and visitors alike tell us they find peace in our spectacular tree-lined banks, gentle waters and diverse wildlife.
